The Prime Minister of Bangladesh Attends the Groundbreaking Ceremony of GF Project

April 21st, the grandly groundbreaking ceremony of Bangladesh GF Project  was held at the project site. Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladeshi Minister of State Kamal Ahmed Mojumder, Bangladeshi Secretary-General Zakia Sultana attended the ceremony online. Minister of Industry of Bangladesh Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh Naoki Ito, Chairman of Bangladesh Chemical Industry Corporation Shah Md Imdadu1 Haque, the Project Manager Du Qingquan  and project leadership attended it on site.

Shah Md Imdadu1 Haque delivered a welcome speech to express his heartfelt thanks to the attendees who have been paying close attention and supporting the development of the project, he also expressed sincere respect to the project contractor. Emphasized in his speech that the smooth implementation of the project not only has helped to solve the employment problem, but also will provide support to reduce the import of chemical fertilizers and provide a guarantee for the improvement of people's lives. Later on, Kamal Ahmed Mojumder, Zakia Sultana, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun and Naoki Ito, delivered important speeches, expressed their best wishes for the cooperation between China, Japan and Bangladesh in "Appreciate and Praise Each Otherand Promote Shared Prosperity".

Wang Dalin, the General Director of CC7, sent a congratulatory video for the ceremony,stated that the Bangladesh GF project is a key project forCC7 to implement the "Belt and Road" initiative, and it is also a strong promoter of the new achievements of China-Japan-Bangladesh friendship. CC7 will continue to steadily promote the project process, make tirelessly efforts to promote the high-quality and rapid completion of the project, and look forward to more cooperation between the three parties.

Subsequently, Sheikh Hasina made a keynote speech. Firstly, he expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Chinese and Japanese governments for providing loan assistance to the GF project. The GF project will be the largest fertilizer plant in Bangladesh, and it will be a new type of fertilizer with advanced technology, high production capacity, energy saving and environmental protection. The plant, which can achieve complete self-sufficiency in Bangladesh's urea fertilizer, with an important and far-reaching impact on Bangladesh, he said. Under his instruction, the red curtain for the ceremony was slowly opened, means that the ceremony ended successfully with all attendees’ warm applause.
